Default new code with heads and cam install

Getting a p 0106 absolute manifold pressure code as well as asr off light is intermittently on and off. Did a search, found a few people with the problem but no solutions. Any one have any ideas.

0106 absolute manifold pressure code

Make sure the MAP sensor is sitting correct, and the little vacuum hose next to it is connected.

there is about a 95% chance that the m.a.p.senser is shot. also your never going to get it idling good if you dont get a tune up. the reason I now what your talking about is I just had a cam install and thru the same code , the shop where I had it done couldnt get a good tune on the mustang, and figured out it was the map. replaced it , was then able to get a accurate tune. and yes it was doing the same thing yours was doing.

The map sensor sits tight and the vacum line is connected up to the vacum line that runs in to the car. The tune is a mail order from Tsp. I've called them but not got a response yet. Car runs well, and actualy idles pretty good too.

I had that same code when I installed my TSP231/237 cam. I called Jason @ TSP and he fixed it via tuning in LS1edit. check out the tuning forum here, there are a couple of guys that had this problem on the larger cams. Call Jason Monday and tell him about it, he'll let you in on how to fix it.
