Default Are these 243's ok?

A friend of mine who used to have a c5 zo6 did a HCI swap a long time ago. He later sold the car and the stock ls6 heads that he had sat in his garage for quite some time. He decided to "port and polish" the intake of one of the heads. Got finished on one, started the rest but never finished. From what i noticed, i dont believe he gasket matched the heads, ( i have an ls6 intake which will be put on) he widened the crap out of the insides, and in one of the pictures, you can see a small hole in the second intake runner up inside. What im asking is........are these heads done for? i basically have all ls6 parts to go on my 5.3 and i know NOBODY sells just one head. I could really use your expertise on this.

Thanks, Tyler

Tell your friend to stay away from the grinder...That port job looks like ****. I wouldn't touch them. Keep the good one and find another one.

He could have actually made them worse than when they were stock. You could have it checked by someone competant and see if it is salvageable but if it were me I wouldn't bother. Get the other one if it is untouched and find someone with a single head to match. My $.02.

Ask to buy the valves out of the heads. The heads have hollow intake and sodium filled exhaust valves and would be a great addition to a new set of heads if you stick with GM heads.

LMAO! Worst port job I have ever seen. Like mentioned, try to get the stock valves if you can.

Hog em out! The bigger the better lol....get the for cheap and sell the junk head for scrap...I've seen a single head for sale more times than one in the classified section, usually someone who chewed up a valve on the opposite side and just bought better heads

Buy the valves, get the good head, then go on ebay and buy a single. They are on there quite a bit. That port job looks like it was on the wrong end of a Parkinson's porter on a bad day.
