Default 5.3 rod question

I had my rods resized for arp bolts and one rod was bad. I got another rod off ebay Part# 12617570 which is a ls2 rod which I think is the same as a 5.3 can anybody confirm if it will work or not.

LS2 was new in 2005 and has full-floating piston pins that that are smaller diameter than the gen3 piston pins . the gen 3 pins are semi-floating press fit so You need to look at 1 of You're 5.3L piston/rod combo and see if it has clips at the ends of the piston pins or not . If not then the LS2 rod will not work as the full floating design uses clips to hold the pins in place . Oh ya ,,,,year does'nt always tell the story as some 2004 got the full floating pistons / rods and most did'nt .
