Looking for LQ9 408 build thread for help
my LS1 is basically falling apart piece by piece so im gonna quit patching that motor and start a 408 LQ9 build. Im a long way from the finish but i want to do it right ONE time and not worry about mishaps after im done. So far i have a machined LQ9 6.0 block thats bored .030, a ported LS6 oil pump. Here are my plans for now...
4" Crank with 6.125 rods and .030 pistons (408cid stroker)
CNC'd 243 Heads
LS6 Intake (Already Have)
LS6 Ported oil pump (Already Have)
100-125 Shot of Nitrous Oxide (Already Have)
Racetronix fuel system (Already Have)
OTHER:
Built T-56 (Already Have)
Monster Clutch (Already Have)
Driveshaft
9" or 8.8 Rear
Any suggestions on this build?
Please add to my list, i know its short now
any good threads ya'll know of with a similar build?
This is definitely a long drawn out build and i have a tight budget when it comes to getting "the best for the $"

The biggest red flag, IMHO, is the ls6 intake. Sell it, and buy a fast 102 and bigger T/B to support the air requirements of the engine. Other obvious upgrades are injectors, fuel pump and lines (depending on desired output level).

If I'm going to buy an intake, would it be better to get a rectangle port intake and go with LS3 heads? I've heard they flow really good. I forgot to add that I do have an aftermarket racetronix fuel system.
