Default flex plate

I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe with a 5.3 and I was wondering if I had to have some special flexplate to put a 6.0 in it with the 4l60

6.0 uses a flat flexplate rather than a dished one like the 5.3

As long as it is not an early 99 or 01 6.0 which had a thick crank flg. you can use the stock 5.3 flex plate for the 4L60E trans. You would only use the flat flex plate (and spacer) if going with a 4L80E.
