ooo boy just dropped my cammed 5.3 in my 98 camaro. fit like a glove and fired right up on the old programming/tune. im gonna start with a 100 shot but all these talks about 9's might have to add a second stage

Ah yes videos please. I was so anxious to see what my 5.3l would do at the track. Just the fact that theyre so cheap is why i want to know so bad. Dont let your head get too big though lol, i got smacked by a turbo cobalt (modded obviously)

 

im not afraid to loose, just in it for the fun lol. i did run my buddies 02 ws6 that has a gto trans/tuner/intake/duel 3 inch and i let the tire pressure down to 20 and spun the first time bad (both of us) he got me. then the second time i did a nasty 1-2 burnout then i came out way harder (but still spinning) and he didnt catch me till about the 1/4 lol im putting a wet kit on it today ill get a pic

 

and this is all on the tune from the previous blown up ls1 it had 243 heads ls6 intake .551 lift cam lol very impressed so far with the little 5.3

Im just about to start building a 5.3 with 4.8 pistons, a custom cam, 610/614 242/246 and 110 lsa, and ls heads. Looking fwd to reading more as you guys come along with your builds.

 

my 99 z28 has a 5.3l in it after my ls1 **** the bed , i just picked up a torquer v2 cam package from texas speed that im gonna throw in with my 3200 stall and an ls6 intake and full bolt ons , cant wait to see how it runs with the cam

 

i have all the parts and the motor and cam, just lack of motivation and lack of time and funds...i hope to have mine back on the road by april lol

 

Did you use the old factory harness from your camaro?
