LS2 Timing Set on LS1
Guys, I'm in need fmreplacing the timing chain on my LS1 and have a question. I know that Yank has the LS2 timing set for $72 shipped, but I need to get my car up and running ASAP. I work at O'Reilley auto parts and can get A Cloyes timing set C3220 for $30, and you cant beat a life time warranty, but can the cam gear and crank sprocket be used on the LS1? They look the same, but just want to make sure. Here's the link to the kit: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...&keyword=c3220

Many people swap out only the chain or just the cam sprocket. Personally, I would swap it all as a set.
The LS2 chain is really just the most current OEM chain. The LS1 chain was discontinued.
