241 heads, Headers, Intake???

Default 241 heads, Headers, Intake???

I'm completly new to the LS1, I'm used to old school chevys. With that said I have a 2000 camaro z28 with a 6 speed, air pump, egr...
This is my list of parts I have to put on but I wanna do it all at once and then get a good tune from frost?
BBK long tube headers and y pipe
magnaflow cat back exhaust

My questions are:
Is it worth porting my 241 heads?
LS6 intake and throttle body? if so what size TB?
Cold air intake kit or slp lid and k+N air filter?

I can polish the heads and port match them but not to confident in a full port job.

Any advice is greatly appriciated. On a side note I would like to eventually hit 450hp but right now i'm just shooting for around 380 til I have the money to upgrade the rear, trans, suspension.....

O I forgot to mention I work in a machine shop and I can mill them myself so any and all information is greatly appriciated!!!

I would do some research on porting the heads. It may be easier in the long run to buy a set of heads already ported depending on your port/polish skills.

As far as the ls6 intake goes, they are deffinetely worth getting. Porting your stock throttle body along with all the free mods will deffinetely pick the car up after a tune.

A lid will be your best bang for buck option until you are ready for something like a ssra ram air kit or similar.

I can do an average port job but I don't go crazy, I'm just a little worried because i have never done a set of ls heads. what areas of the TB should i be porting
