Isn't the LS3 rectangle port?

Class racers picking a certain intake is a good endorsement but the OP is far as we know sticking with catherdral port heads so it doesn't directly apply here.

It does say something about how in general "truck intakes" may not be compromised the way most cars guys assume.

I used an LS1 intake on my 5.3. Did it just for looks, and a 9 HP loss... OOOHHH MYYY!!!!!

Some people read the internet entirely too much.

That is exactly what the Hotrod article comparison test came up with, the LS1 lost 9 hp and 11 tq

Pick up a tbss intake manifold. Cheap!! I just traded my ls6 intake setup for a tbss intake + $350. Now all im doing is throing a 90mm cable tb on it and ready to go.

I am in need of a 90mm throttle body for a cable. Anyone know What they came on, if any? Are there any low cost aftermarket ones?

TBSS + $350 I would say you got the better end of that deal. LS6 intakes only go for $350 , why would he give you TBSS to boot ?

Regardless, his posts on the truck intake are spot on.

There have been a good handful of track cars running the truck intake.
