Oil Pump

could someone tell me if a melling 296 will fit lq4 without having to make any mods

It will depend what oil pan you are running. The melling 10296 pan has sucked a stock pan dry in the past. Unless you have an aftermarket oil pan or a truck setup I would look at the 10295 high pressure pump.
