Look like crane ultra gold's. About the worst rockers money can be wasted on. Little to no gain over stock rockers, Even with a 1.8 ratio.

Crane. Maybe its the photos, but I don't see the guide plates for the pushrods which these rockers require.

Guide plates are there, heres a better pic. I just picked this car up a few hours before I started tearing into it. These rockers have to be better then stock, right? The car has a cam, ported heads and full bolt ons. I mean as stated above they could be a waste of money, but since they are already on the car they would have to be better then stock. I would imagine they would have some gain over stock and not come apart like the stockers. Thanks for all the responses.

OK, I can see them now. Do you know what cam is in the car? Also, what valve springs? Reason I ask is the Crane 832 valve springs have a huge harmonic that shows up on the dyno right at 6,000-6,200 RPM. Based on my experience with the Crane parts, I would change the valve springs if you have those installed in the car.

I have no idea what's in this car, I just picked it up for a good price, everything is a mystery on it. Im getting ready to drop the k member in a few weeks and tear it down to see what I have. Is there anyway to identify the valve springs? I thought they are one of those things you cant really tell what they are for sure. Thanks for all the information.

The valve springs look like Cranes. They made two, the 832 and the 833. The 833 was introduced to eliminate the harmonic that I mentioned earlier with the 832. You can look up the spring values and then pull one and see which it matches. They both use the same retainers and seats so the only way to tell is by measuring. I don't recall any specific marking on them to tell them apart but it has been a while. I had both parts at one point in time.

Thanks for all the help. I was wondering how you can tell what springs they are with the pics I posted. Is there something about the cranes that stick out from the others? Also they should be 650 lift since most duals are right?

I would do a search for the valve spring specifications. The 832's were not very stiff and the 833's were much stiffer so checking a couple of springs should tell you right away which set they are if they are indeed Crane springs. With the rocker kit and the dual springs, it would make sense they are Cranes though.

I would have to say that the worst are probably Yella Terra.

I've seen quite a few on them eat **** and break on users here in tech.
