What heads are you going to be running? Valve size can/will make a difference on which cutter(s) you will need!

I cut mine .100
It was extremely easy and took less than an hour to do.

^^^wouldnt that be putting the pistons out of balance? The cuts don't look the same on each piston...did you do that with pistons in or out of the car?

The pistons were cut installed in the block. You put the cutter in the head with piston at tdc.
The intake and exhaust contact the piston at different locations. That's why they are staggered.
Idk how much this would effect the balance.

At the point someone is going to pull the rotating assembly after cutting pistons to balance it, most folks would have just put an aftermarket piston with valve reliefs in the short-block and called it a day. I'd say the vast majority do not re-balance after cutting the pistons...whether that's right or wrong in your book you must decide.

This would also help put you into an overbalanced situation. Not necessarily a bad thing. 52% would be about the limit for a street driven car, it will smooth the higher RPMs some with no effect in the lower rpm. Go beyond that and you will feel a vibration in the lower revs. This probably not even 1% change in balance.
