Default T-Rex cam help

picked up a 98 ls1 motor with the T-rex cam already in it. Got rid of the 806's for some 241's with a set of prc .660 springs. i do plan on spraying this motor and was wondering about milling the heads and head gasket thickness. right now the heads are untouched and i have the gm ls7 head gaskets. i have a set of .045 cometics laying around and was thinking about milling the heads since i still have the motor on the stand. i was just gonna leave it with the stock heads and gaskets but was doing some research and see the t-rex likes more compression. looking for some thoughts and opinions. also this is a carbed motor with a super vic. thanks in advance

PTV is very tight with a T-Rex, have one in my 99 with 853 heads. You would need to flycut valve reliefs into those pistons for milled heads. You might just consider some 243 heads, small combustion chamber will raise compression without sacrificing clearance..... Or keep the 241s, mill them down and go with smaller cam.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but watch how much you are spraying if you flycut the pistons. I will just leave it at that.

plan on spraying at least 200. been told the amount i need to flycut wont weaken the piston all that much

how thick will the piston top be after you fly cut it ?heat or enough cylinder pressure could cave the piston top in if it is to thin.a GM cast piston was not designed for nos.
