Default crank key?

I am putting together a stock ls1, is the crank key something you can get at any autoparts place or is it a dealer item? Anyone have a part number?

Also need the crank bolt.

thanks for any info.

Unless you had your crank machined for one, Stock LS1s don't use a crank key. Crank bolt from GM is 12557840 or ARP makes a reusable one for about $25. The GM bolt is a TTY use once bolt.

Big tex posted a diagram and in the first picture it shows a crankshaft sprocket key, number 27, this is what I am talking about.

Thanks

It says that is an exploded view of a C5 LS1. I've had the pulley off on a 02 C5 when I did heads and cam on one and there was no key. I've done cam installs on every year LS1 F-body and there is definately no key on F-body cranks.
