Default Larger cylinder bore

I'm currently getting a plan together and ordering parts to rebuilt my stock LS1. The engine has 130k miles on it the cylinder walls are glazed but I can still lightly see the stock cross hash pattern. I'm going with forged pistons and rod. Only problem is the forged pistons I've found start with a bore size of 3.903-3.905 that's .005-.007 larger than the stock 3.898 bore. So my question is do I have to take the block to a machine shop and have them bore the cylinder or can I just use a cylinder hone ball to get the cylinders .005-.007 larger?

Ball hone wont do it. It needs to go to the machine shop to be torque plate honed. Your rings will thank you.
