Ryan if you haven't already bought the Vic. Jr. listen to these guys and get the Super Victor.

That cam will work fine for either.

Remember guys he is on a stock bottom end and really can't spin it past 7200-7400 without repercussions....although with rod bolts in mine I have spun it to 7400 on motor. On nitrous I shift at 6700.

Even with spinning it right at 7k you still think I'd benifit from the Super that much though the whole powetband?

yeppers
rule of thumb, if you have a 4500 stall or larger, use a super

He doesn't have one yet, and he doesn't know it, but that's his next modification....

thats why i said it!

78bu you can get a new efi super for $350, put some frost plugs in the injector holes and go at it. Otherwise the carb version is $480, thats not much. Other option is the GMPP but its on par with a vic jr, or the Mast intake which is a pile of money

Guess the build will take a few extra months -__-

And is it smart to get the EFI one and plug the holes seems like it wouldn't be

lots of people have done it, seeing them side by side the only differece I could see in the casting is the ribbing on the bottom of the plenum.
I would get teh carb one myself but the option is there

Yeah idk how much I could trust a piece like that but seems kinda weird why the EFI piece would be cheaper by so much...

pretty similar, details in sig.
Heres a good link to how you can expect the powerband to shift vs a plastic intake

BTW keep an eye on the classifieds, I just got a super for $430 shipped with fuel rails new in box not long ago

Regarding your last post, a VERY nicely ported jr with a 2" spacer would be on par with a box stock Sr with no spacer. A super with a spacer would be worth another 10-15, and ported to ported 20+hp easy

The jr has smaller runners, and no plenum volume. Adding the 2" spacer gets it close for volume but even fully ported the runners are only about as good as a box stock super. For the money of a Jr and spacer you can just buy the super and still be power ahead.

its just part of the deal, spend enough time in the classifieds and it will change 20 more times! I got so many great deals I wound up changing mine up completely 3 times, was H/C stock bottom end just going to do better intake and exhaust and now I have a forged LS3, built trans and another 1500rpm of stall!
