Default Head bolt thread size

I am ordering a H/C package and I am curious as to what the threads are for the head bolts. I have a fairly large tap and dye set and would rather us that rather than the cut the head bolt technique.

Anyone?

Don't use taps, they weaken the threads. Taps are used to cut new threads into surfaces. What you ideally need for your job is a thread chaser or thread former, this cleans the threads without damaging or weakening them. The double shaved bolt method works great and is FAR cheaper than the thread chaser/former you'd have to buy. However, the head bolts are: 11MM x 2.0

Ok makes sense. I didnt think it would stress the threads as long as you didnt force it.
