AWESOME numbers Martin! I checked out that graph too. I'd love to see this cam with heads and a 102. We might be looking at a 480rwhp car! Incredible cam only #'s

Thanks!

Here are the final numbers:

429rwhp@6300/398rwtq@4750 this is NOT a peaky camshaft!!! Drivability is shocking to me and Jonathan. We are amazed at how it drives for the power it puts out. It honestly drives like any other cammed LS1, keep it above 1400-1500rpm and it drives like it did stock, albeit with a lot more power!

David,

I honestly think we could hit the golden 500rwhp mark with this cam, a set of worked over heads and a Fast 92....yes I said a 92..... Check out the new graph

Martin, sending you an email.... I want you to look at my graph of the current set-up and see what you think and where there's room for improvement.

Well ****, what's your email?

I'd love to hit 500 on a stock short block.

**EDIT**

**I've got new 42# injectors ready to go in, and we already talked about the clutch issue. I don't mind flycutting...**

Send it to Martin@tick-performance.com and I'll take a gander at it. I think with the new injectors and clutch you will be at the 460rwhp mark which is nothing to sneeze at David. That said, we could make more with a bigger cam that is for certain. We are still amazed at how well this car drives for the size of the cam. Jonathan did a great job on the tune as there is no idle hang, you can cut the car off and start it right back up with no hanging idle or rpm fluctuation what so ever. The tune is a critical aspect of a large cam driving well and Jonathan did well there.

How much clearance was there with the valves and pistons? Pretty tight?

Yes it is pretty tight, roughly .045" clearance with stock valves and a .051" head gasket. We've run them this way a lot though with no issues, honestly PTV in this industry is a dirty little secret as 75% of the H/C set-ups out there have roughly this same PTV if not tighter.

I set the idle to 1,000 rpms. It didn't have a problem idling at 900....I just like a faster "lick". It just sounds healthier at 1,000.

Seems you need to tell that guy to "get back to work !!!!!"......
Great torque curve, especially since the cam is rather large and still at stock
compression ratio. Your tuner apparently compliments your lobe selection
rather well....GOOD combo....

If I did that, I don't think I'd have a job anymore!!!

I can only imagine what this cam will do in a set-up with ported heads, 11.0:1+ CR and a Fast intake....should be well north of 480-490rwhp and 420-430rwtq.

Jonathan is awesome behind the keyboard. I'd be willing to put him up against the best in the business any day....I know he wouldn't say the same for himself, but I will say it for him. He has only been doing this for about 6 months now and his results make it seem like he's being doing it for 6 years.

. I'm just looking at different options. LOL. I am interested in seeing what my current setup does since I've fixed all the problems before I swap cams.
