5.3l etc help! So I need some help, I have a 2001 5.3l that came out of a gmc yukon the yukon came with drive by wire setup ....unfortunately, well I put the motor in an s10 , I did the harness myself, and everything ran great I drove the truck for 2 months before now , what happened is Ill be going down the road or stopped and the pedal goes out on I have no throttle at all, and the mil lamp comes on and it goes into limp mode, I got a scanner tool and put it on there and coming up with the codes p1516 p1518 and p1571, I delete them while the truck is running and put it in gear, and press on the gas and it works until a couple of feet and it goes into limp mode with the mil lamp on and the pedal goes out again, I don't get it really, I can't find any forums with anybody's pedal going out, just them throwing those codes
Are you only able to get "1/4th - 1/2th" the throttle response? You might wanna check this out. Its the code your getting also. I would ditch the DBW tbh though.

P1518 is no communication between TAC and PCM. Sounds like you have a bad connection. Did you do anything with the wires for the TAC when you modded the harness? If so, did you use solder and heat shrink on the connections?
