Default L33 rebuild

Plan was to run a stock l33 with prc 1.0 heads and tick stage 2 turbo cam ! But I think I want to run forged pistons and rods with my ls1 58 tooth crank does any one make forged boost pistons for a 5.3 or will I have to bore up to the 5.7 pistons? Any help would be great !

If you have the cash to bore to ls1 specs go for it, more cubes the better...that being said if you can use rods they are the better floating ones on an l33...if you go with stock size pistons you will have to get some 4.8 pistons, bc I also have an l33 and couldn't find pistons for it since all other 5.3s are dished, but the 4.8s are same bore, compression height, etc. good pick on the engine though!

stick with the stock pistons, unless you are doing major boosting.consider doing a 383 stroker ,about $1700 for a 383 rotating assembly from Texas Speed.

I'm planning on a Wiseco piston K1 rod stock crank aluminum block 5.3L for boost right now. I'm keeping the 5.3L bore since the pistons will be stronger and more cylinder wall thickness for the aluminum block I'll be using.
