drain plug question, need a quick answer

drain plug question, need a quick answer im in the process of changin the oil and when i pulled the plug out the piece that attaches to the pan with the o-ring on it came with it. the o-ring is still attached barely. will it leak or do i just plug it back up with the o-ring like before making sure its in there properly?

It might leak, but chances are you are ok. I would go to a local GM dealer and see if you can get another one for like 5$. Sometimes oil change places have them too. I think you are ok..Even if it does leak a little, it wont make a diffrence and probably no mess. GM V8's leak anyways!
