Default Stage 2.5 PRC Heads Help!!!

Alright so I purchased a vehicle that had a blown motor in it. I was told it had stage 2.5 PRC Heads in it and the heads are stamped PRC but how do I identify what kind of heads they are? 5.3 or Ls6. I'm getting ready to pull the motor and was wanting to try and sell them if they are still good. Also how much do used PRC Heads go for?

Also thank you for your time and info. Have A Great Day!

Yep the casting number on the heads will tell you. My PRC 2.5/5.3 heads were like $1300 new IIRC

the pushrod holes will also be bigger on the 5.3 heads then on the LS6 heads.

If the chamber is machined its a 2.5 5.3 if its not you've got the 2.5 LS6 cylinder heads. Feel free to give us a call with any other questions.

Texas Speed should be able to give you all the info you need by the serial # in the rocker valley.

They should be able to tell you how much was milled too ( I believe)

So I figured out that the heads are LS6 heads (no cnc'd chambers), but there was no serial number so that is as much as I know about them. thank you guys for all the helpful information. Have a great day.

if they're anything like the prc 2.5 ls6 ported heads available from tsp currently, these are your flow numbers:

Lift Intake Flow Exhaust Flow
.200" 147 cfm 114 cfm
.300" 209 cfm 152 cfm
.400" 258 cfm 191 cfm
.500" 294 cfm 207 cfm
.600" 316 cfm 226 cfm

Considering the thread is from 3 years ago I would doubt they are still for sale. If you wish to purchase a set of PRC heads give us a call at (512) 863-0900. We would be happy to help.
