Default What valve springs? Need help quick (DD)

on my way home I started hearing a tick from my top end. Sounded like it was coming under the drivers valve cover, sounds to me like a broken valve spring, but I will know more tomorrow night. They are the PAC .650 lift springs that I used off my old motor with a TSP TV2. Anyways I dont currently have a cam in this motor, But I plan on putting one in over the summer. Somewhere in the range of .600-.650 range.

So my question is what springs should I go with? Could I go with a double spring right now on a stock cam? Or should I stick with PAC beehive springs.

You could try the PSI maxlife beehives now and be good to go for a .625"
lift cam in the near future.

Go with Brian Tooley platinums if your planing on putting a cam in later. They are very nice springs for a really good price.

Lunati Gold Valve Spring Kit For GM LS Engines. It's a great kit for a great price.

The Brian Tooley platinums are a better spring and cheaper than the lunati springs.

If you are currently running a stock cam, the PSI 1511ML springs are what I would go with. No shimming should be fairly light on the seat yet plenty for the stock cam.

I have some stock ls6 valvesrpings with about 40k miles on them I could send you if you cover shipping. It'll at least get you going until you make a decision on a cam. Just shoot me a PM either way. Not sure I have all the locks and retainers though.

Running doubles right now wouldn't hurt. If you are going to do a cam swap I would try to figure out what you want to do before getting the rest of your valve train. Worse case you could always get a cheap set of beehives for now.

I have an idea of what cam, either the TSP TV2 or the 228r. It will most likely be one of those. I'll check out tooleys springs, and PSI.
