Default LS1 Intake gaskets

I need to change intake gaskets on my 02 WS6.
When I shop for gaskets I am seeing a couple diffrent designs of gaskets depending on where I look, some of them are oring style and some are valley style and some are flat paper gaskets.
What is right or what is best?
I have attached pics of what I am seeing.

Thanks
Earl

If you are referring to the points where the intake runners join to the heads, then "A" is your choice.
"B" looks like intake for SBC.
"C" is the valley cover gasket for LS1/LS6.

Or do I need both the orings and the valley cover?

if you have oil leaks, it would be the valley cover. the intake gaskets would be for vacuum leaks only.

If you are just removing the intake from the heads then just get the O-rings. If you plan to pull the valley cover, then you may need to get a new valley cover gasket.

FYI, I have always ran the FAST gaskets even on stock intakes because they are made a little thicker and seal better and I always inspect the valley gasket to see if it is damaged, if not I slap it back on. Never had any issues with reusing the gasket with the metal outsides once or twice if they are not damaged.

Yes my issue is bad oil leak at the rear of the intake and it sounds like the intake itself only seals to the heads and valley pan is what would seal the lifter valley and be the source of my leak.
Sorry to sound like an idiot, I have worked on hot rods all my life but this is first experience with LS engine and wanted to get info from people with experience.
Also any advice on coating the gaskets? RTV and the like.

If you have a bad leak in the rear intake area you may want to take a look at your oil pressure sending unit. They are known to fail and leak

by the way if its not the valley cover gasket or the intake gaskets and you take them both off, the gm seals are reusable.. as long as they are not the problem, you can use them again.
