Looking for some opinions.

Hi everyone. I am fairly new here and looking for some opinions on my project. I have a 53 chevy truck that I am swapping on to a 92 s10 chassis. What I am looking for help on is I have a 01 5.3L that will be going into the truck but can't decide if I should run fuel injection or carb it and which cam to choose. I have a 4l60E and a TH350 I could use, but both would need rebuilding. The diff. has 3:42's. The truck will be mostly a cruiser but want some decent power.

Id build the 4l60e for sure, **** the old *** transmissions unless you want a drag car.

Also id stay fuel injection. The only benefit I could see for a carb is once again, a drag car.

do you have the harness for the ls motor you plan to install ?elderbrock sells a stand alone system for $600,get the dual plane intake set up.look at comp 54-455-11 ,good low end power for a heavy truck.
