Default Vacuum line going into throttle body?

What exactly does this line do?? The reason I ask is because I accidentally knocked it off the other day and it made my car sound totally different, it was like the cam immediately had more lope.. Also noticed it seemed to be more rich. I don't plan on doing this often, but if nothing would be hurt, it would be nice to take if off occasionally for say rod runs or local shows.. No big deal regardless, just curious.

Lol, not even to run it man, just to hear it..

Really couldn't believe how much it changed the sound of the car, only thing I really noticed was my wideband started turning a fuzz to the rich side. Just honestly curious when it affects?

you caused a vacuum leak ,allowing unmetered air to enter the engine .all all into a engine needs to go through the MAF ,so the engine will run better.

Yeah If im not mistaken that line runs on the vacuum side of things closer to your plenums behind the throttle body. You've probably caused a vacuum leak. Does the car idle wierd now or lope?

Yeah thats a vaccum leak. It makes your engine run rough. I wouldn't "listen" to it for too long as it is hard on your engine. Preventing it from running efficiantly.
