I talked to the guys at Yank today and they said my converter is in fact a Ultra Yank 4600 and it probably has a STR of 2.86-2.9. He said I really need 3.73's or 4.10's with that converter and with a gear swap I should see an improvement with my unlocked numbers.

Someone pry me away from my dyno numbers damnit

What do the duals look like/ who built them? There is a lot of power in places that are often overlooked or underestimated.

crush bent and my friend at midas built them. I'm not too impressed with them and plan on buying different mufflers and having Lane in DFW make me a X pipe setup.

Current duals are a real shitty looking H pipe

but could bad duals actually cause a 30RWHP loss on a locked run?

you are also missing some bolt ons. I think you would gain a lot with a ported tb, asp pulley, and a nice set of duals

True. I need to get gears, ported TB, pulley, redo my duals with different mufflers and then have the tuning tweaked alittle and see what she puts down.

Like I've said, the actual gains from the cam are awesome, my car just seems to be a low dynoer

There is more lurking in your bolt ons than you think. Pully, TB, and a better X. Take it to Lanes and never worry

My last trip to the track I was on a 3600 stall and had no cam and no tuning

Now I have the 4600, tuning, and cam,

John,

I dont know if they found your problem or not, but by hearing your car, there is (was?) a mechanical issue. There is no getting around it. That noise very well could be the source of your power loss. Plus, look at your numbers before the cam. Just because your car does not peak like 6 speed cars, or cars with smaller stalls, does not mean there wasnt a SIGNIFIGANT gain. Just my .02

Wade we figured out that noise before I left the shop that day. I forgot to rezip tie my hoses up for my TB bypass. One of the hose clamps was laying against the water pump pulley and causing that loud noise.

Like I said, the car runs like a monster and Yank said my unlocked numbers will improve with the addition of gears. I think I may just be too worried about my numbers
