Got a deal on some hooker competition headers for my LS1. I have plans to just make it stock bolt on power. The full exhaust is on an xpipe on 3'' dumps. Problem is the guy says the headers are 1 1/2, i did research and could find nothing on this. He also told me the deal is for 500 firm. Should i jump on it or no?

 

No, too small of a primary in my opinion, Minimum get 1 3/4 primarys.

 

Can't imagine them being 1-1/2, did hooker even make any? Their ls1 block huggers are 1-5/8.

 

You might get better help posting this thread in the Generation III EXTERNAL engine.

 

$500 seems like a ripoff, especially since one can get new TSP stainless 1 7/8 for $30 more.

 

Anything special like coated etc? If not you can buy hookers brand new for 300 give or take a few $

 

not sure exactly but that diameter is small imo
