Default Pushrod question

Hey guys need some help here. Been through the stickies and cannot seem to find what I need. I've got a 2000 5.7 LS1 that right now has 7.400 pushrods in 'er. I am swapping the heads for a set of 243's with .006 taken off and a set of .040 headgaskets. Right now the heads and headgaskets are factory stock. The pushrods are 7.400 after a cam install last fall. Any ideas on pushrod length? Thanks for any input.

Measuring is always optimal however most likely you will just stick with the 7.400 and have a little more preload. Otherwise you can use a 7.375 and have a little less. You have dropped the head about .020

I always prefer to measure but like leeluther252 said, you could run either and it would work.
