Throttle Body Size of 5.3L in mm?
Throttle Body Size of 5.3L in mm? Hello,
Hopefully someone can answer this, googled for an hour with no luck.
I am trying to find the actual throttle body size in mm of the 5.3L truck motors.
I know that the LS1 is 78mm, but can't find anything on the 5.3L Throttle body size. Is it the same size?
Does anybody know?

When You say the LS1 is 78mm , have You measured it ? Because I believe it's actually closer to 75mm and the LM7 5.3L throttle body at least Mine was 70mm in factory form . That's actual measurement , not sure what They list it at . I ported mine to 74mm and polished the sh_t out of it .
When I was searching the only size for the LS1 I found was 78mm, but that could be wrong also. I haven't found a place that states the actual dimensions either.

K, I was debating a LS1 throttle body or a 5.3l one. Since it doesn't seem like much of a size difference I'll just get a 5.3l and port and polish it. Budget build anyways.
