comp cam 228/228 too big?
The 228 has a good lift though so be prepared for some dual springs and hardened P-rods.
I have or will have:228R, FLPS, Asp,Ported TB,Patriot gold springs W/tit rets, Raptor shiftlight, NGK 55IXs, BMR STB, Harland Rockers, !Baffles+sealed airbox, Factory Hurst w/LSS, Ws6 cat-back+Magnaflow Muffler,Direct-flo lid, Holley Pwrshot, RWTD Predator, !CAGS, 160 Deg Therm,BMR SFC's,T/A Girdle, Nitto 555 Extremes.
Now while I will not do heads for a while... What heads would "complete" this package with my mods on a 01??
Thanks for you responses in advance.
My old SB chevy 400 had a cam with a 110lsa on it and it sounded bad ***, but I couldnt even order anything at a drive-thru without having to turn the truck off first.
Dont get me wrong, I love a mean *** rumbly lope in an all out race car, or even more so in an older muscle car, but for something I drive every day, I need a little bit of refinement. Not to mention the 114 likes the spray a bit better than a small lobe separation. But hey to each his own.
Oh, and did I mention that the 228 has a GREAT street powerband?

I just can't wait until next weekend when I put the new spec III clutch in & the ET Streets so I can see what it will really do..
Man i bet the t-rex guys are putting on a show with the door shaking(open) at idle.
you have to admit if someone gave you a cam that didn't lope and one that did lope hard but both made the same power, whatcha gonna pick. werd.
