Default siezed oil pump 5.3

A guy that lives near me is selling a 5.3 that the oil pump seized up on. It's a complete motor for $275. I wanted a 6.0 but this is cheap and was wondering of it would be a good deal? I was gonna replace bearings and rings anyways. Or just buy it to part out?

Pretty much depends on what you find when you open it up.
Did he drive it after the oil psi went away?
As for buying it to part it out....Not sure what good running 5.3's go for around your place, but such an engine here is 5-600 running.
Maybe, buy it and pay for it once you inspect it...
What yr is it? how many miles?

The only way I would buy that engine is if it had 799 heads on it. Otherwise, not worth it.
