Default Should I return these?

Just got them in the mail, and they look kinda rough for being brand new.
Note the chips in the lifter body?

the lunati box was ajar and the lifters were out of the styrofoam packing just sliding around. The box holding the lunati box from Hinson supercars was not damaged.
I've contacted hinson and sent pics and am awaiting resolution, hopefully get a set of new ones...I feel uneasy about this set with these 2 looking this rough.

Give yourself peace of mind and return them.
Otherwise, any irregularity will have you revisiting your lifters, I think.

I would return them. In the first pic it looks like the metal is already cracking

really? look at the first pic. see the 3 lines or what look like 3 stress cracks where the body meets the roller. On one of the other pics there is a small chunk missing on the left side. Im not saying you couldn't run them but if I bought some new lifters and those were what showed up I would be sending them back.

I always see this with ls7 lifters, yours actually look good compared to a set I had awhile back. typical mass production flaws, they probably pump hundreds out a minute and dont check them at all..

I dont think they're cracks, i put a fingernail to them and their actually raised up, like they were machined flat in the process.

But I agree, they look kind of rough, would like to get a better set. or just replace the couple that are chipping near the roller.

I send pics to brian@hsc so we'll see what he thinks about these link bar lifters. Will update when he replies.

Besides for just the appearance, those wouldn't leave my shop.

Working on that with Brian at hinson motorsports. They told me to send them pics to see what they can do.

I have a set of non link bars and they don't look like these
So I don't know if they were damaged on shipping or from morel when they were made.
