I cut the radiator hose right above the alternator on the driver side. My guess is it leaked onto the alternator. Yippeee. I can't complain, I have oil pressure! lol

Could this be a misaligned pickup oring? From what i have seen from the powerblock show videos they had a problem with a rebuilt Ls that after the motor warmed up they lost pressure. They checked it out and the pickup tube and oring was misaligned, and oil was getting passed it. They slotted the hold down and tightened it down and the problem was fixed. Anyone else check this video out? Seems to be a common problem that i have read alot about. This may be the fix.

Congrats. GM did make a good oil pump. Too bad they totally fucked up that relief valve. If any small particle gets in there it will stick open. Very common failure.

Wait what???? Your cut radiator hose had something to do with low oil pressure?

Oh lmao I didn't read the last post on the 1st page... Wish that would have fixed my problem.. I think driving mine back with no oil pressure spun a bearing... Or I just spun a bearing in the first place. Either way replacing the pump didn't do the trick for me. Now I'm trying to decide between keeping my d1sc kit and getting a forged 346 or getting a 402 and doing h/c.....

I did a cam swap about 50-60,000 miles ago and had no issues with oil pressure. Also, when I removed the oil pump, the o-ring was in perfect condition, so I didn't pinch it.

I'm assuming this is what the issue was, but it looked fine when I pulled it out.

Yea the lack of oil pressure is what did it I'm sure. Luckily for me I saw the gauge drop to 0 and shut the engine off instantly, right in my driveway lol.
