Default Oil pressure sensor

Is the same oil pressure sensor used on the LS1 as a LQ4 or LQ9 6.0 L iron block? Thanks!

No, the sensor from the LQ4 is a 3 pin IIRC, and f bodies are either one or two. Theyre both in the same location and will both fit in either block the same though.

I went through this recently while putting in my LQ4, the oem sensor on the ls1 snapped, and of course being a 98 it was a one year only sensor... was a pita to track down. Was going to try to use the truck sensor but was more trouble than it was worth.

Thanks! I wasn't sure on whether to order the LS1 sensor or not, but what you said makes sense.

Or You can go to Rock and get a mechanical gauge kit that comes with everything needed to install the oil line at the oil filter location for about $15 , then go to You're local Autozone and get the copper oil line kit for about $10
