Amsoil claims I got this in an e-mail regarding Amsoil:

people know. Did you know that about most of the NASCAR racing
teams use AMSOIL? Well not many people do, but it's true. I
know this because I am an OEM automotive engineer and deal with
NASCAR engineering personnel regularly..
Don't be fooled by what logos they have imprinted on the outside
of their cars. It is just advertising. Nobody ever said they are using
what they advertise on the otside of the car.
I've heard that Amsoil is good stuff.. good enough for Racing?
