HP and 5.3 I have been a member here for just a bit but im getting close to getting started.My? is can i get 450 hp out of a 5.3 with not sinking a bunch of money.Say like cam,throtlle body and having 234 and or 799 heads and a ls6 intake and a good tune.This is going into a 56 chevy ground up build.Oh ya im going to run a 4l60e.Im not very god with this ls stuff so thats why im here.One more thing i was having a ls1 built buy HPS but he took my money and my friends money and ran and will not answer phone or call back.Sorry for the ramble!! are you looking at 450whp or 450fwhp? im not an expert but i saw a dyno of a 5.3 with a cam and 799 heads and ls6 intake do 354 rwhp. they do love boost and spray. you can add some spray and net that alot cheaper. someone else will chime in with more info. but thats what i have gathered from research

believe it or not but the truck intake makes more torque then the car intakes. but its ugly. idk if ur goin for form or function. but with spay you could do that easy. might wanna look at doing a stall. it would make driving alot of fun
