Is this what a LS6 cam sound like?

It may be just me but sounds like a bigger cam than a ls6

No. My neighbor had an LS6 CTS-V and stock or with exhaust it never had that chop. Plenty of negative overlap in that cam to provide a smooth but aggressive idle without the chop.

Yeah, that thing has to have a diff cam in it other than stock.

This one is pretty close, though it does have a few other mods on the motor. I do think it sounds like it's a stock cam.

Yes thats a stock ls6 cam. On cold mornings I notice mine sounds a little different than a stock ls1 does but when they're warmed up they sound more or less the same

I figure as much. the first video has something bigger. The second looks it has a ls6 as I expected to sound like a stock vette :-)
