Looking for cam advice I was on a thread the other day, an was reading about doing a cam swap.
There was a mention about changing something when doing a cam swap an cannot fine the thread to save my life.
Can any one tell me what should be changed other than the cam when doing a cam swap?

New gaskets, oil pump,timing chain and gear., hardened pushrods,correct valve spring kit, new crank bolt, ud pulley, front cover seal,,and the all important lifters and trays.
Do some research you need to properly setup your valvetrain with matching parts .
How many mile do you have on the car now?

None of the above, was what was mentioned. Guess it wasnt that important. The LQ9 has 90,000 on it. There really isnt a budget it was shot long long time ago. Ha Ha. The cam is going in a rock crawler, so a cam that makes power 2-5k range is what im looing for. Not for high end like drag racing are any thing. Thanks for the advise.
