h/c combo. help me go in this direction please Ok guys. I was very vauge in my previous thread. I know now I wanna throw a set of heads and a cam on my ls1 that I have in my car now. However I want the combo id be getting to be able to be reused on a future lq9 boost build ... im willing to sacrifice some performance gains now. In order to reuse the combo later ..... car needs to be streetable thats the main thing. Any help would be appreciated
Ported 317 heads would be good now and later on the lq9, if your not messing with the pistons and are gonna keep the stock flat tops then I would do ported 317's from west coast cylinder heads....
A good turbo cam like the TU1 cam or tick stg1 turbo cam will work fine NA and even better in boost...
There is a lot of possibilities especially if you decide to go E85 with your boost build, then you could get 243 heads now and reuse them on your turbo build...

You are going to sacrifice a LOT of power now if you build for boost and don't have any. At least consider using a different cam in each motor. With the right valve events you can make up (some) for the large chamber heads on this motor. Plus, you would do a little better with an LQ4 since it has dished pistons.
