Coolant out of overflow after spray Ran my buddys modded 03 cobra on the highway with the new head cam set up, Spraying a 75 dry shot. After the run noticed a slight coolant odor and temp gauge is high.
Pulled over immediatly, evidence that coolant had sprayed out of overflow. Temp came down while ideling so we ran by his place and found level about quart down. No bubbles in radiator as car was running.
Now I'm anticipating a head gasket problem, and will confirm with a leakdown test tomorrow. But I did run it hard on the way home and noticed no more over pressure or temp problems.
My biggest concern is the arp head bolts I used, ordered studs but got bolts. I have found a few threads with people having problems with them. Would I be better off to order the studs or just go with the new tty bolts I have sittin in the shop. And would there be a better gasket to use than the oem? Any opinions appreciated.

stock gaskets are fine...some have had a sealing issue with the arp bolts as seemingly the lower row have been bottoming out without some knowing especially on milled heads. It does sound like you blew a head gasket or something of that nature though...some say studs are fine while others say its a bitch to get the heads on teh studs with the motor in the car so id guess its a roll of the dice...personally i just used stock gaskets/bolts figured if it was fine from the factory it should be fine for me
