Default 02 LS1 camaro build

trying to get a plan so I can start getting stuff ordered. im looking for a reliable 600hp. im looking at going with a texas speed v3 cam, either fast 92 or 102 intake manifold? what size tb? injectors? MAF, heads? help me get a game plan here, this car will not be a dd as i have a company vehicle. this car will be a street/strip car. im looking to get as much reliable hp as possible without nitrous, turbo or supercharger for now. what are the little things you can do to these cars to squeeze more power out of them without dropping a lot of coin. the car is virtually stock has headers, full exhaust, and fast fuel rails that's it. the car still has the annoying skip shift. any advice would be great i will be doing all of the work myself then take it somewhere to get tuned. also when building these motors when do you need to start tearing into the bottem end? car does have 120,000 miles on it now so plan is to do bolt ons and a cam to this motor then build another motor. Thanks in advanced i hope someone can point me in the right direction

I think 600hp will be pushing the envelope a little in an LS1 especially if you want reliability without a power added. If its possible, it won't be cheap at all. You will have to go with aggressive cam size, lobes, the best heads available, every little power adding trick you can find and still might not get 600. I am no way near experienced other than researching but haven't really seen it done with an ls1. More cubes or power added will make it much easier. My goal is at or around 600hp but I plan on doing heads, cam and nitrous but my ultimate goal is to run 10.99 1/4 mile times at full weight and retaining AC.

what kind of power can you get out of these motors reliably? id like to do bolt ons for now and possibly spray for just down at the track. but id either want to build a ls1 for the car or a 427? for the motor that's in the car now what can i do to get around 425-450hp

H/C+ bolt ons would get you 425-450 all day long with the ls1 reliably. Are you looking for a hp goal or an et/mph goal? You can run good number at the track if you willing to get some weight out of the car. Full bolt ons plus spray will be fun. Are you auto or manual? If manual you will need to invest in a good rearend. You may want to call one of the vendors to the right. They will be more than willing to help you and are way more experienced in this.

If we are talking rear wheel hp then yes 425-450 can be had with the stock block. For 600 rwhp and no power adder you would need a very built LS7 at minimum lol
