Default Head and Cam Swap?

I am looking into doing a head and cam swap. I have a ls1 (stock no bolt ons) with 151K miles, should I be alright to do a small cam with 862 heads that have new valves and ls6 springs)? I am worried about the bottom end holding togeather and may have the possibility to throw a 100 shot on it. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

If the the car is in good running order you should be okay. With that said I run the 862 heads with a Torquer V2 cam and very happy with it. I'll be spraying a 100 shot here very soon too

Have to do anything besides pushrods for the torquer vs2? will your compression be too high for spray?

Well my car came this way upon purchase, but I do know that you will need to upgrade the valve springs for sure. The compression is 11 to 1, and is not too high at all to spray

Valve springs, and with your mileage lifters, timing chain, and a oil pump would be a smart thing also. Also consider the trunnion upgrade for the rockers.

You should be fine, i have a set of ported 862 heads with 60 cc combustion chambers and ferrea ss valves 2.05 int 1.6 exh with a fresh valve job and new lanuti dual springs i would take $1000 for. but you will need to do the oil pump, timing chain, push rods and trunion upgrade with new lifters. if you would like more info on the heads contact me at 918-520-0229 my name is Emmett
