Default Which Kit would be better for me.

Hey guys I've decided to drop a cam in my car first then add heads at a later date. I've got the mods in my sig plus QTP LT's and Y Pipe going on it.

I've decided to go with the TR224 on 112LSA for my car and thunder racing offer two kits.

CAMPK-S Thunder Racing LS1 Cam Swap Package Includes:
- Your Choice of Thunder Racing Custom Grind Camshaft
- Comp Cams 26918 Valve Springs
- Comp Cams 772 Titanium Retainers ($100 Additional)
- Thunder Racing Stock Length Pushrods (7.400)
- Cam Swap Gasket Kit (Specify Year of Car) $699.99

or

CAMPK-D Thunder Racing LS1 Cam Swap Package w/ Dual Valve Springs Includes:
- Your Choice of Thunder Racing Custom Grind Camshaft
- Crane Cams 144832-16 Valve Springs
- Crane Cams 144661 Titanium Retainers
- Crane Cams 144460-16 Hardened Seats
- 11-VS-UV5001-EO Valve Stem Seals
- Thunder Racing Stock Length Pushrods (7.400)
- Cam Swap Gasket Kit (Specify Year of Car)
- Change to Comp Cams 63-26921-KIT Spring kit for $175 additional
$849.99

Whick kit will work better for me. Daily driven not raced (yet anyways ) I want reliable, the difference is like $150 so not a big deal but every little bit helps. Also is the Comp Cams kit better than the Crane Cams kit????

Thanks

with a 224 cam the 918's are ok, still swap your springs every 10k. the cranes will be stronger/safer springs. For reliablility I say package 2. fwiw though I ran a 224 in my car with 918's for close to 15k miles without issue.

With a 224 cam you have to swap the springs every 10k miles Really .. I never heard of that .. I thought it was tune and go

If it is not .. What cam is a good daily driver cam .. I put about 350 miles a week on my car and it has never seen the track but does the occasional highway race ..
