Default Fuel pump question

Hey everyone, I have a 99 FRC and I just droped the new motor in and its running out of fuel at 3850rpm on the dyno. Anyways I was looking at 255lph pumps but noticed that walbro and a few other companies have come out with a 340lph in take pump. My question is are these a drop in replacement like the 255lph pumps are, or do you have to modify a lot?

I thought the 340 was a Walbro 255...maybe i'm wrong though. I thought it was like a part number or something. I do know that the Walbro 255 is not just a drop in though...you need to modify the bucket

Oh ok yeah that's right, I have read that you have to modify the bucket. But the 340 is definitly a bigger pump, I was just wondering if the requirments for installing it are the same as the 255
