Default Knock sensor broke

Got to strip down a 6.0 today and when I got the knock sensor that thing was eaten by rust used normal socket to get it out it just spun kept using smaller one but they kept eating the KS. Finally just took the valley off and with vice grips tried spinning it by hand well the dam this just broke off.

It dint break off clean so it left some material above the thread so I started playing with used vice no go to little material to grip...tried smaking it with a screwdriver from the side nothing... Then tried to form the small bit of bolt left so I can fit a socket over it nothing...called a day before I messed more of it up.

So what else can I try to remove the rest of the bolt/KS I was thinking of smacking it right in the middle to dig a flat head and try to turn it free.

Ill get pics of it tomorrow

Thanks

I would heat it and then cool it down a few times, then spray it with some sort of penetrating oil. That should loosen it more.

Will do. I seen some welding videos on how they add a nut to the top very doable on mine just for added security. I have been chipping that small piece i have left to much, but I have no welding skills or welder

Thanks

Drill it and use an EZ out....
With the EZE out in, the heat idea would be a good idea, also.
