Default cam for ai heads

Long story short had #7 ring go in my motor and im having a fresh rebuilt shortblock go in so i figure while its out would be the perfect time to upgrade the heads and cam. Im going with ai 226cc ls6 heads and possibly one of their cams as well but was also thinking about possibly going with something like a tick or eps cam. Car is an m6 and will be my daily driver since im being stationed in hawaii and can only have one car shipped also there isn't a track on the island i will be on which sucks. In my other car i had afr 205's and a 230/234 111+2 lsa cam on xfi/xer lobes and it had pretty good street manners for a daily but i really wouldn't go bigger then that.

I would go with them because they know what works best with their heads and since its your DD for awhile, their cams are easy on the valvetrain.

Thats good power mchicia for such a small cam. You running a fast intake or have the heads milled or anything?

Djfury i have seen your build thread and the results were impressive with track times to back it up. The cam you used is a little bigger then i want to go though

Yes, this was with a fast 90/ls2 throttle body and the heads were milled to 60cc chambers.

If I had to do that setup again, I would mill even more and also use a cometic gasket. It would have hit over 470 with that and that mild cam!

That car ran well too, trapped 125+ on street tires with my crappy driving. Easily was a 128-129+ trap car with a real driver and tires.

That 230/234 isn't a bad cam. You had a lot of overlap with it on a 111. If you're going with Ai, you could have a similar cam spec'd but you can ease up the LSA a bit and get compression back by milling the heads.
