Default Valve spring question

Thinking about buying an lq4 from a friend of mine. I know the motor runs but its been sitting for about a year and a half. It just has regular pac 918 springs and about a .600 lift cam. Should I replace the valve springs? I know they dont have much run time but the fact that they have been sitting in one spot forever worries me. Thanks for any input.

They "should" be fine, but it is pretty cheap insurance....is be more worried about the lifters, but by backing off the rockers you can check to see if any of the lifters are collapsed, and I'd probably fire it up first if a few lifter were sticking to see if they would break loose

You can always pull a few of the springs and check them against original specs.
