oil pressure sensor?

Default oil pressure sensor?

is there a sensor on the block for oil pressure? i just rebuilt the bottom end on my motor with new bearings and now i get little to no oil pressure... not sure if i dont have the sensor in the right place or what. also my tach doesnt read any RPM. sooo any help would be great <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

The oil pressure sensor is at the back of the engine underneath the intake manifold. I don't know what to tell you about your tach

Did you have a shop machine the block? If so, they probably left out a plug at the back of the engine. It will leave you with little to no pressure. Otherwise check your oil pump o ring.

no i didnt have a shop machine the block... but i did get the block and it did seem to be missing just about every damn plug!any pics of this oil pump o-ring? or any idea where i can buy a known good long block? thats not new that i can actually know it runs?

what sensor is it exactly? is it the one that is almost dead center or the one twards the drivers side?

also after a bearing change what will the oil look like? and is there any place to get the oil tested to see if there is coolant in the oil?
