pull the intake and look...sounds like there is an issue with the coolant cross over tube

get the ls6 cross over and block offs and put them on while you're at it

I understand wanting to avoid buying the parts, but sometimes it's just easier to bite the bullet.

That intake needs to come off though. If it was leaking coolant (and not just some coolant had collected somewhere and ran off) then there is an issue that cannot be solved with the intake on the car...period.

The coolant leak is fixed. The only problem I have now is there is a vacuum leak somewhere causing it to idle at like 1800 rpm's.

Spray you some starting fluid around where you think the leak is and when it idles up you found your leak.

Is break cleaner ok to use? Is it possible one of the intake gaskets didn't seal?

Yeah that should work. Just about anything like that should work!!
And yes it's very possible that the intake didn't seal.

Another question that is a little off topic, but I have an oil leak that is progressively getting worse, and I am pretty sure it is coming from the rear main seal. I also have noticed that my oil pressure keeps getting lower. It probably runs at like 35PSI now cruising at 1500 RPM's. Could the low oil pressure be caused by the bad rear main seal? Or is it the rings and bearings?

Easy test. Get in and set your heat to blow through the dash vents. If it only blows to the floor, you forgot the little vacuum line that works the vents on the back of the intake. I had a new vacuum elbow split on me back there. ..same symptoms.

As for oil pressure, you could have broken the opsu...everyone seems to when doing an intake. Or it could be the pump oring too, or bearings, but my guess would be opsu..and it would leak out the back.

You have a vacuum leak. Could be a few things. The manifold could be slightly crooked. A port gasket is out of place. The manifold could be held up by the steam lines. Maybe you simply left a line off somewhere.

The manifold's gotta come off.

I broke the opsu when I took it off but put a new one on there. I really dont think I broke it putting it back on and even if I did wouldn't it be reading zero? The oil drip has been a problem ever since I bought the car last march.
